Honeybee needed an encoder with extremely high performance in a small form factor, and when we couldn’t find what we needed anywhere on the market we designed and built it ourselves. Our hollow shaft rotary encoder offers differential A, B and index tracks in a small, modular package — just 46 mm square and 8.5 mm tall.

The unit is radiation hardened up to 100 krad and can operate from -40C to +60C. The diffractive encoder also offers clean analog signals which can be used for interpolation to offer up to 21 bits of resolution. Parts are screened to NASA EEE-INST-002 Level 1.
